A Summer Tan

I was reminded of trips to Shimbergers and Conowingo Pool as I lay in bed tonight. I can see Gret lift her sunglasses up to rest above her tanned forehead with curly dark brown locks of hair pushed back.

I can see her apply the light glossy pink lipstick in her rearview mirror on the way too. And don't forget the sunroof peeled back with the 'right' music playing as she routed the course for a summer tan.

I am missing her again tonight.

Do you know how much I am miss you?? I love you Sis.

Just Two Small Memories

Anybody who really knew Greta, knew how incredibly witty she was. Take a dull moment, mixed with Greta humor and what do you get? Laughter, laughter and more laughter..oh and fun. Don't you just miss her witty humor?

Just a couple of brief things that bring a smile to my face:

• sometimes upon answering her phone, she would say in a whisper, "I thought I told you not to call me here!" and I would inevitably answer in 'code', "the owl flys at night with a coat on." And of course she would always have some witty 'code' comeback.

• This was a comment posted by Greta on Reid's blog. She said of his infrequent blog posts:

Reid...I'm really sorry...but this blog relationship just
isn't working out for me...I've inflated your visits by leaps and bounds...and
what have you done for me??? No new blogging...that's what you've done...I'm
sorry to just cut and run like this...but there needs to be some give and
take...I give you an audience and you give me something to read when I stop
by...well you're supposed to give me something new to read anyway...don't
worry...I'm sure you will find someone else to follow your
blog...LOL...
